Every person is unique and each therapy session must be custom-tailored to individual needs. We provide pediatric treatment for a wide range of communication needs including social skills, articulation, phonology, accent modification, motor speech disorders like apraxia, expressive language, receptive language, stuttering, executive functioning and speech delay.
At Silicon Valley Speech, we believe that therapy should take an interventionist stance incorporating specific speech and language goals that are augmented by easy-to-do home-based assignments.

Most children make some mistakes as they learn to say new words. A speech sound disorder occurs when mistakes continue past a certain age. Every sound has a different range of ages when the child should make the sound correctly. Speech sound disorders include problems with articulation (making sounds) and phonological processes (sound patterns).
A neurological childhood (pediatric) speech sound disorder in which the precision and consistency of movements underlying speech are impaired in the absence of neuromuscular deficits (e.g., abnormal reflexes, abnormal tone).
People with language disorders may have trouble understanding language or communicating with others. Treatment focuses on building language skills that coincide with learning, behavior, self-esteem, and social skills.
Affects the fluency of speech. It begins during childhood, and can last throughout life. The disorder is characterized by disruptions in the production of speech sounds, also called disfluencies.
People with a brain injury often have cognitive (thinking) and communication problems that significantly impair their ability to live independently. These problems vary depending on how widespread brain damage is and the location of the injury.
Treatment helps patients use strategies to reduce anxiety and increase communicative abilities.
Treatment helps students improve accent, grammar, and cultural competency.

one step at a time.
Speech is made by single sounds,
one sound at a time.
